Sydney Sell
Sydney’s practice includes representing a variety of clients in the civil litigation context. Prior to joining Deiss Law, Sydney clerked for Judge Diana Hagen at the Utah Court of Appeals. She currently co-chairs the Young Lawyers Division Continuing Legal Education committee.
Sydney graduated from the University of Colorado in 2016 with a degree in Environmental Studies. She moved to Salt Lake City to attend law school at the University of Utah. During law school, Sydney was an executive editor for the Utah Law Review. She also worked as a research assistant for two professors and an intern at the Utah Court of Appeals. Sydney competed in two national moot court competitions, during which she received a best brief award and an outstanding oralist award. Sydney was also a William H. Leary Scholar and received CALI Awards for earning the highest grade in Evidence, Advanced Mediation & Negotiation, Natural Resource Law, and Advanced Civil Procedure.
Outside of work, Sydney loves cooking new recipes and creating her own unique dishes. She also enjoys spending time outside with her husband and their dog. In the winter, they spend most of their weekends skiing. During the warmer months, Sydney loves to golf, bike, and garden.
